Dazed and confused?

Since I have been a little slack about posting lately, I thought I would share a few photos of Thomas playing outside this afternoon. (Don't want to upset you blog junkies too much. I know how you get when people haven't posted in a day or two...no need for names, you know who you are :) Thomas woke up from a LATE afternoon nap right after I had finished a photo shoot (perfect timing since I forgot to get a babysitter!) He wanted to go outside and loved the little chair I had used for the shoot. He climbed in and out a dozen times, found a golf ball, picked lots of mommy's flowers and waited for Daddy to come home. Hope you enjoy!!

We love and appreaciate you so very much! I could not have imagined a more fun loving Daddy for Thomas. Thank you for our wonderful lives and all your hard work each and every day. I pray that Thomas will someday become such an outstanding man like you!

Thomas' Newest Trick Is...

Yum, that was tasty!

Opening doors! Thomas has figured out how to open all the interior doors in our house and his favorite one to open is the pantry of course. It looks like I don't feed him enough, right? He is getting to be such a big boy and although this is a major accomplishment to him, it is a reminder to me that he is really no longer a baby anymore. He learns something new everyday and his vocabulary grows more and more. I feel so privileged to be able to experience all these firsts with him. Thank goodness the exterior doors are still a little too heavy for him to get open, but I am sure that's right around the corner!

Ranger Riding

Ali and Stirling came over for dinner tonight (we missed you Brad) and afterwards Michael suggested that we all go for a ride on the Polarius Ranger. This is a favorite activity of ours on the weekends. We often cut through a neighbor's yard onto the golf course and ride up to Devonshire, the townhouse development Michael is building on the golf course, to check on his jobs. Thomas loves riding in the wind and giggles the whole way. Stirling did the same tonight and the trip was pretty usual until riding to the Foster's was suggested. To make a long story short, Michael and Ali had the brilliant idea of cutting through another one of Michael's jobs to get to Molly's house faster. I have never experienced off roading in the ranger like that ever before and never want to again with a baby on my lap and with bare feet. Thankfully we arrived at the Foster's alive and safe and Ali got some really cute pics of the three babies on the back of the ranger (check out her blog for these).

We decided to go home a different way although this meant riding on the sidewalk adjacent to Moores Mill Road....where we passed a cop!! Ali and I freaked out thinking our faces were going to be plastered on the front page of the local paper as the "Worst Mothers in Lee County!" The cop didn't seem to care and we made it home safe and sound. All in all we had a blast and will have a great story to tell the kids one day...

Fun with Our Cousins!!

We spent the afternooon in Montgomery with the Pittmans and Thomas had a blast playing with his cousins. Clyde is three and Payne is only ten weeks older than Thomas, so these three played hard all afternoon long. We walked a lot that Uncle Les and Aunt Jessica are thinking of building on (they need more space asap b/c cousin #3 is due this November :), played outside, jumped on the new trampoline and grilled out dinner. What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon! Thanks Clyde and Payne for such a fun day...come see us in AU soon!
