Melts My Heart...

This sweet boy surprised and melted my heart on the way home from preschool today. His class talked about the story of Jesus healing a sick boy and they made a picture of a teddy bear with a band-aid on to go along with what they learned. Although Thomas does tell me a lot about his days...the connections he made today really surprised me!

Mommy: "I love the picture of your teddy bear!"

Thomas: "I help maked bear better." "Jesus loves Thomas so much!" "He maked me better."

Mommy: "Jesus does love you so VERY much!" "More than you will ever know."

Thomas: "Jesus and God maked Mommy better too...and Daddy...and Baby Holland!"

Music to a mommy's ears. Never at two and a half would I think that God would plant such sweet seed in my little ones heart! I am so thankful for his two spirit filled teachers and for what they are doing to impart precious knowledge to him and his classmates. I so doubted our decision to change schools on him this year with all the many changes our family will soon be going through. The transition seemed effortless for him and I prayed that God would continue to show me that we had made a good decision. Wow, don't you LOVE the way he shows you things sometimes? I pray that Michael and I will be given the strength and knowledge to nurture the seeds within his heart so that they may mature and one day bring about a good and bountiful harvest for God!

P.S. I have so much to update on the blog...Holland's baby shower, tailgates, a big boy room, etc. But sweet times and conversations such as what we shared today are what I wish to remember most one day...so all the other will have to wait till tomorrow!

FUN ON THE 4TH...FINALLY!

We had a great fun filled fourth weekend. We started out on Thurdsay celebrating with friends at the opelika City Fireworks show and ended by celebrating with friends and family at the lake. Thomas learned to swim underwater while at the lake and is one little fish now! He LOVED the fireworks as you can tell from the fourth picture down. It was taken right as the first fireworks went off. He continued to say, "Wow, that's awesome!"

Thoughts from a Two Year Old...

Thomas was playing with my cell phone today and overheard him having a pretend (but very real sounding) conversation with his Uncle Mark.

"Hey Mark...how ya doing?"

"You in Birm um haaam (Birmingham)?"

"No you not?" "Ohhhhhh!"

"You at work?"

"Okay...see ya later. Bye!"

He is growing up WAY too fast! The things he talks about keep me grinning all day...what a difference just a few months makes!!!

Beach Trip 2009

A big thank you to the Bryant's for sharing their beautiful beach house with us once again! We were able to spend a whole glorious week in Carrilon earlier this June and Thomas loved the beach this time even more than last year! We had great weather and did not see the smallest cloud all week long!!! Our cousins were staying a short 5 minutes down the road so we got to play and eat with them almost every day.

This was taken right after we got on the beach the first day...he was ready for that ocean!

No fear of the waves at all!!!

We slept late and woke up with beach bed head

We lived in our swimming suits

Played in the sand

Wore crazy hats and sunglasses

Swam tons

Really enjoyed having our Daddy with us every waking moment!

Ate yummy seafood with our sweet cousins (minus baby Charlie)

Wore our sweet daddy out by wrestling all the time

Cooled off in the Rosemary Beach Fountains

Shared lots of hugs and smiles!!!

New Post, New Computer and a NAME!!!

I am so excited to be able to post at leas one new picture and some updated info since we finally got our new computer...yea!!! It's great and I have terribly missed having a computer in our home.

On another note, we have chosen a name for our sweet baby girl:

"Holland"Virginia Dilworth

Holland is my middle name and my great grandfather's first name and Virginia is for Michael's mom. It is so nice to be able to pray for this baby by name and Thomas is getting pretty good at pronouncing Holland as well. We hope she will be as sweet and easy going as her big brother below!
