So Ali tagged me...which requires me to tell 10 HONEST things about myself. Here goes!
I am a NATURAL blonde...until tomorrow at 10am!!! As a present to myself for my big 30 on the 31st, I am getting my first highlights and I am so excited. Silly I know, but ever since being pregnant with Thomas, my hair has gotten so dark. So I've made it 30 years and I think that's pretty good! I need a little pick me up and a few highlights seems to make me think it will do the job.
I a little freaked out about turning 30. Not like you hear about, but just a tad bit sad. My twenties were fun and youthful and I would lying to tell you that turning older makes me a little apprehensive! I know, I know, the best years are to come...I'll just keep telling myself that!!!
Big shocker after #2, but I don't like big life changes. New jobs, new babies, etc. - it makes me super anxious! It's ironic to think that the biggest life changes which made me the most anxious turned out to be the biggest blessings in my life...example: Sweet boy above!
I LOVE antiques! I love the hunt, the find and the bargains. My perfect Saturday involves a great friend, a good lunch and some awesome antiquing. Come to think of it, it's been much too long...anybody up for a day like that???
Like most everyone else has mentioned...I would be lost without my great group of girlfriends! You girls are what inspire me, make me laugh, help me when I am sad and just make life so much fun. I am SO very thankful for you...you know who you are!
I have a bad habit of forgetting (or just being too lazy) to brush my teeth at night...not proud, just being honest!
Honestly, I am so very thankful that God gave me a little boy first. Little boys love their mommas and I believe Thomas was exactly what I needed and always wanted. He is the perfect reason to want more little ones to raise!
With that said, I honestly desire to have one little girl. Just one...
I love old movies and my favorite actress of all time is Audrey Hepburn. I love her in Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany's, both which I've seen at least a dozen times.
Big surprise...I adore B&W photography. It's classic, timeless and brings out the innocence in little ones. For a little variety, add a little sepia toning and some hand tinting and I'm happy!

I am so excited to be hosting the spring and summer 2009 line of Beaux et Belles...the cutest custom children's trunk show! I have LOVED this line long before I had Thomas and it is still hands down my favorite children's home show!!!
For a little background info, Beaux et Belles is a custom children's clothing line sold exclusively through home shows and is based out of New Orleans, LA. Beaux et Belles is unique to most other shows in that you can be the designer and custom select all the detail of your outfit, down to the piping and buttons! You choose the style garment (from more than 30 styles), fabrics (25 choices of luxurious ginghams, linens, pimas, cords and other top quality European fabrics) for outfit, lining, buttons, trim, etc. and finally the embellishment. Numerous appliques, monograms, embroidery, and the best smocking inserts are available. Those of you that are familiar with Beaux et Belles know that their smocking is second to none.
The quality is impeccable. These clothes wash and wear great, which I attribute to the fact that each smocking plate is HAND SEWN and each outfit is then custom made to your specifications. Thomas is the third of four boys to wear some of these clothes and they still look new. I know moms are bombarded by so many home shows this time of year! I am personally saving my money and investing in a few outfits that I love and can design to fit my child best. We usually get two or three seasons worth of wear out of our outfits...which makes my pocket book very happy!!! You can even add length in the crotch for taller little ones, etc. The possibilities are endless!
So with all that said.....please save the date for Sunday, January 25th and Monday, January 26th
Below I have posted my favorite smocking plates for a boy and a girl...keep in mind that BB offers many other garments if your little ones have outgrown the smocked look!

5 Things I LOVE about You
1. That you still like to be rocked for naps and bedtime. This makes me carve out time to sit quietly, which I don't find time to do often enough. At night, after we say your prayers and you crawl up on my shoulder, I often pray specifically for you. As I rocked you last night, I thanked God that he made you exactly like you are...fearfully and wonderfully made!
2. Your sense of humor. You are so much fun to kid with and have always "gotten the joke" since such an early age. You will laugh at just about anything silly Daddy or I do and you often joke back with us too.
3. Your strut...the way you walk and run. You strut and always have. It makes me smile just thinking about it.
4. Your emerging imagination. Your little imagination is just beginning to bud and you have suddenly started to pretend play more and more. I love playing with you and your new kitchen. I get such a kick out of watching you cut a piece of cake for yourself, Daddy and I and then putting each piece on a plate and passing them out to us. You give each of us spoons, fold your sweet chubby hands and direct us to "pray". You ask for "more pray" because you love it when we sing our mealtime prayer and then you blow out your candle and pretend to take bites from your spoon. You are turning into a toddler before my eyes.
5. Your great disposition. You are so HAPPY 99% of the time. Your sweet spirit is contagious...your Daddy and I fall more in love with you everyday!

We had a great and busy Christmas. We are so thankful for the birth of a saviour, supportive family and great friends. Hoping the New Year brings your family many blessings!
